ZF Intarder

The ZF Intarder is a secondary braking system that protects the brakes from fading due to long-term stress, taking over 80 to 90 percent of the braking work.

In doing so, the service brakes do not heat up, and are ready for use when the occasion calls for it.

A step further in the braking system

Unlike retarders from other manufacturers, the ZF Intarder is integrated into the gearbox itself. This enables smooth brake modulation, made possible by its five braking levels.
